I have made it no secret how much I have been enjoying Tweetie. It has been by far my favorite Twitter client on my iPhone 3G. One of the cool features in Tweetie that I enjoy is the ability to search and find other Twitter users based on my current location.
This is very neat and allows me to see if there are other interesting users in your area that you may want to follow.

It is actually painful to visit Jaiku lately and get greeted by the Jaiku bird or the message that “servers are too busy right now”. After announcing that they were open-sourcing the Jaiku code, the usability of the site has gone south. I keep asking myself “why bother anymore”? Maybe it’s because I still have a soft spot in my heart for Jaiku and its community.

Microsoft released its latest ad in the “I Am a PC” series, labeled “The Rookies” and it kicked off with Kylie, a 4 yr-old using Windows Live Photo Gallery. Regardless of whether you’re a PC or a Mac, there is no denying that little Kylie is adorable.
I really liked this latest “I Am a PC” ad.

The US House of Representatives has voted to delay the transition to Digital TV until June 12. The bill now goes to the President’s desk but since it was his idea to begin with, no doubt he’ll sign it. To me, it just doesn’t make any sense to delay this transition. I believe, as do most of the people I know and most of the articles I’ve read, that this will cause more headaches in the end. You pretty much have to live under a rock to not know by now that this was going to happen.
Let’s be honest, if you don’t know by now, there is little chance you will know by June. Those people who are still using rabbit ears would find out when the signal goes out, if I had any say in this. I’m not one for excessive hand-holding, and this is exactly what this is!
Okay, enough of my ranting but I just had to!

Yes, it is a good feeling. My iTunes music is now all free of DRM…..finally! FREE at last! Just tonight, I upgraded the last batch of my songs to iTunes Plus (no DRM). I’m more likely to buy from the iTMS now than I was a couple of months ago. I had been using the Amazon MP3 Store exclusively. Heck, I may still continue to use them exclusively since their tracks are much better quality. Nonetheless, kudos to Apple for finally realizing that DRM must die, even though I had to pay extra to get there!
